Our Engineers

We are fortunate enough to work with the following accomplished and talented engineers. If you do not have your own engineer for your project, give us a call to discuss which of the following is the best fit.

Dan Kruglak, House Engineer

With roots in the live sound industry, Dan has made a full charge into recording studios in the past two years. Dan has experience mixing and recording a variety of different styles of music, and he specializes in finding the right sounds for each unique and musical experience.

Dan was exposed to multi-track recording during his years at Champlain College where he learned the fundamentals of what it took to become an audio engineer. In parallel, Dan took a grassroots approach, recording anyone he could in his basement, and taught himself as much as he could about the engineering process. Soon after graduating, Dan secured an internship at Signal Kitchen where he learned how to do live sound and assisted around the studio, and eventually was able to record and mix his first professional project there.

In the past year, Dan has joined the team at Meadowlark, where he has been fortunate enough to work with a multitude of different musicians and bands, ranging from folk players to funk bands to a cappella groups. Dan has the ability to make sure that your time at Meadowlark will be smooth, fun, and inspiring.

Fernando Lodeiro, Engineer/Producer

Fernando is a GRAMMY Award Winning  Engineer, Mixer, and Producer based in Brooklyn where he has his own studio and who free-lances for countless studios around the world.

As a young child in Caracas, Venezuela, Fernando Lodeiro always wanted to play the guitar, but it wasn’t until the age of 14 that he finally got the guitar he longed for. Fernando was self-taught, and began playing in bars around the city with musicians sometimes twice his age by the time he was 15. After graduating with honors from high school at the age of 16, Fernando moved to Mexico City to study at the “Academia de Música Fermatta”. It was the first time that Fernando studied guitar and music formally. After one semester, he auditioned for Berklee College of Music and got a scholarship from The World Scholarship Tour. Along with the World Scholarship, Fernando received a full scholarship from SGAE (Sociedad de Autores y Compositores), the Berklee International Network Augmentation Scholarship, and funding from a private organization that permitted him to attend Berklee College of Music where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in Music Production and Engineering in August of 2007.

At the end of October 2007, Fernando moved to New York City and after just two weeks, started working at “Avatar Studios”, widely regarded as one of the best 10 recording studios in the world. Since then, Fernando has worked with artists like Paul McCartney, Esperanza Spalding (with whom he won his first GRAMMY Award), Lady Gaga, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, Regina Spektor, Ingrid Michaelson, Ben Folds, Olly Murs, Mary J Blige,  India Arie, Christian McBride, Chick Corea, Wynton Marsalis, Joshua Bell, and many others including Broadway Musicals and many Film Scores.

Fernando has also worked as the front of the house engineer for world acclaimed saxophone player Kenny Garrett with whom he’s toured the world.

Currently Fernando spends most of his time producing, recording and mixing with many bands as well as writing with different artists. If you would like to book Fernando for your session, please give us a call to discuss his rates and availability as he is based in New York.
